Level 3+ Silicon Carbide (SIC) Multi Curve Body Armor-
Introducing Guard Dog Body Armor’s full face level 3+ body armor crafted from advanced silicon carbine ceramic and UHMWPE material. This innovative ballistic plate prioritizes function, weight, and thickness, setting a new standard for versatile personal protection. This multicurve design utilizes a full-face ceramic front and still weights a comfortable 3.39 pounds!
Crafted from ceramic and UHMWPE, this high-performance ballistic armor boasts the capability to halt a wide range of threats, ensuring your safety in a discreet and efficient manner. Here are its key features:
Sleek Design: Minimal thickness and a multicurve design help the user maintain mobility, comfortable and increases the longevity that this plate can effectively be worn.
Optimal Size: Measuring at 10” x 12” x 0.8” and weighing 3.39 pounds, it easily fits into most place carries designed for 10”x12” ballistic plates.
Durability: Covered in a rugged, waterproof, and wear-resistant advanced polyurea casing, it’s built to withstand the harshest conditions.
Additional Protection: The rugged polyurea provides added spall protection and this ballistic plate also features front and rear facing aramid fibers to reduce ceramic spalling as well as improve the ballistic plates multi-hit capabilities and durability.
This ballistic armor insert effectively stops a variety of rounds, including:
Handgun Rounds: 9mm, .357, .45 cal, .44 cal, 5.7.
Rifle Rounds: 5.56×45 55 grain FMJ M193, 7.62×39 123 grain MSC, and 7.62×51 149 grain M80 FM.
Additionally, it proudly boasts an NIJ Rating of level 3+, exceeding the required rounds of M80 ball while successfully stopping 7.62 x 39, .556, m855, ss109 and m855A1.
It’s important to emphasize that this plate prioritizes discretion, meaning that its primary focus is on weight reduction its presence rather than maximizing strength and increasing weight. When dealing with M80 ball rounds, it approaches or slightly exceeds the NIJ standards for Back Face Deformation (BFD) without passthrough of rounds or ballistic material. Additional trauma pads can mitigate back face deformation.
