I’m not military or law enforcement never seen a ballistic helmet except on movies or YouTube. Great helmet, Peltor ARC attachments work well. Fitment and retention is good. The quick adjust neck is fantastic. No comfort issues so far but even if there were, that’s what aftermarket is for. I’m happy and I can recommend this helmet.

Very nice. Happy with the quality and you can not beat the price. This helmet took a 44 magnum round on a youtube review without penetration. Why would anyone buy a bump helmet when this is available for the this price. I was in between sizing and went for the med/large. It was tight. Measure your head and if you are on the border of the 2 sizes, go XL. I reached out to GD and they went above and beyond in making sure I was setup with the right gear. The arc rail and NVG mount are both tight. The click lock in the back makes sure it does not wobble around. Everyone’s head is different, but my helmet does not shift around at all. Very secure. These do go out of stock, so get one if it’s available or you will be waiting around for them.

Fit and finish are very good and detailed. Appears to carry the Norotos shroud mount and is aluminum. The weight is as stated at 3.5 lbs. Strapping is good with a tension adjuster aft. Arc rails are uniform and well finished polymer and accepts Peltor swing mounts. The interior padding is modest but sufficient and provides an adjustable fit. The fact that Guard Dog BA throws in a very nice helmet cover at this price point, is over the top value added. Stated a 2 week back order yet received by fed ex in about 5 days. Very satisfied with the experience overall.

Was in between sizes so ordered the XL and when I put it on it seemed huge. Sent it back and got the smaller one and it fits great. Quality seems good. Everything is nice and tight with no loose screws or anything. Weight isn’t bad at all. Certainly lighter than the kevlar helmet I was issued in the Corps in the late 80s. For the price you absolutely can’t beat it.
